Having investigated thousands of traffic collisions, we have learned that the accident report only provides a black and white version of what happened, who caused it and why. Many times, the reports fail to answer these questions. These questions may be relevent to the crash investigation. Their answers should be verified. We go beyond the surface of the standard police crash report.

Don Joswiak is a former police officer and criminal detective from the south suburbs of Chicago and worked previously in the security division of the Chicago Public Schools. He has also held numerous other positions in the private security and intelligence sector.
