Investigators at Joswiak & Associates work from a retainer provided by you at the onset of the investigation. Once initiated, the investigator will keep you informed on the progress of the investigation. In the event that the retainer becomes exhausted, you will be contacted for further instructions as to how to proceed with your case.

Please understand that we are held accountable under federal and state laws when we access information from a database that is “non-public”. Our search must be for a "permissible purpose," in order to comply with the terms of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Individual Reference Services Group, and Fair Credit Reporting Act. Some of the "permissible purposes" include: the locating of missing persons, beneficiaries and heirs, organizing reunions, collection activities, asset identification, child support enforcement, legal process service, attorney functions, and other legal or normal business activities.

Missing Persons Investigations

Almost everyone has had someone in their life that appears to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Whether it is an old college roommate, a high school buddy or even someone who you had served with in the military, they in all probability don't consider themselves missing and would be pleasantly surprised that someone is looking for them. (hopefully) We like to term these persons as voluntarily missing or unintentional missings. Regardless, they are oftentimes very difficult to track.

The intentional missings are entirely different and take much more skill to track. Fugitives, runaways, the homeless and professional cons require professional skills to identify and locate them. Examples of important information include, the full legal name, date of birth, social security number, previous home addresses, driver's license number and any photo's or video that may be available.

To assist in the investigation, you will need to provide all the available information about the person you need to locate.
